Corey Doc’s Performance Tuning

BITTER / SWEET
……that’s all I can say or think at this being my last post for Doc’s Performance Tuning.
It’s BITTER because I feel like I’m losing a kid after raising it for better than 48 years, it’s SWEET because I’m tired and I just can’t keep up the pace at 72 years old…..these bikes are too heavy for me to push around anymore and they are getting too big for this old shrinking body to touch the ground with tippy toes, so, it’s time to pass on the ”Pathan” to Corey Barnum.

Corey will be taking over the responsibilities of ”Doc’s Performance Tuning” starting June 1st. Who is Corey Barnum you ask? Well let me tell you about Corey….! Corey went to MMI (Motorcycle Mechanics Institute) where he graduated in the top of his class, Corey then worked at Stormy Hill Harley Davidson where he achieved his ”Master Tech” level in the MoCo schools. I met Corey about 10 years ago while he worked at Stormy Hill, every day Corey had off he was down here with me working and learning about Performance Motors, Tuning Procedures with the TTS Master Tune, and Dyno Operations. I enjoyed his willingness to learn and his passion to be the best he could be. I spent many many hours with Corey feeding his hungry brain with what works and what doesn’t work in this Performance world. Corey also was trained in the tuning procedures at Doc’s Class a few years back.

Corey then went North to be come a welder/fabricator at ”Faith Forgotten Choppers” where his duties were building Harley Davidson performance motors, Service work, and Dyno Tuning……..oh, and of course he learned the art of welding and some machine work from is boss ”Will Ramsey” Corey has been soaking in knowledge for over 10 years, now he is ready (and able) to take the reins of ”Doc’s Performance Tuning” to the next level. Doc’s will now be a full service shop, at the same time continuing to maintain the perfection, the reputation, and impeccable tune ups that Doc’s Performance Tuning is noted for……..plus all the ”nick knacks do dads and
trinkets” for you Harley Davidson needs. (SORRY, NO TIRES PLEASE).

I am very competent in Corey’s ability and passion that Doc’s will not skip a beat……..plus I will be there a few days a week, doing what I did for all these years, just so I won’t get bored sitting in my chair at home in a retirement mode. Yes that’s correct, you can’t totally get rid of me but it’s time for me to consult, and maybe a tune up or two and some engine work a few days a week.

I want to thank EVERYBODY that has supported me and Rocky Ray at Doc’s Performance over the years. We made several great friendships and memories that will never die. You people will always be in my heart. It’s been a wonderful journey, I loved what I did and what you all have built and supported in Doc’s Performance Tuning. I’ll be around, I hope I see you now and then at Corey’s Doc’s Performance Tuning LLC. The phone number remains the same 352-404-6999, the address will remain the same, the work will remain unmatched, I have the fullest confidence in Corey Barnum to go above and beyond what I have built there. I pray you all will support Corey and his lovely wife Kali at the new generation of ”Doc’s Performance Tuning LLC”. You won’t be disappointed.
And again, you will see me there a few times a week, drop in and say hello.

PS
I will also continue training Dealerships and Indy shops with Dyno Operations and EFI tuning as I have been doing for the last 20 years. You can reach me for training classes through Corey at Doc’s Performance Tuning LLC or Steve Cole at TTS, or drop me a line at my email.
Thank you all for all you did in my life.
Doc and Rocky Ray
